روستای قرنجیک خواجه خان

        Gharanjik (Khaje Khan Gharanjik) is one of the Turkmenid villages in Golestan province. That is located almost 20 km away from the Gorgan (the capital city of Golestan province in Iran) in northwest and 23 km away from Bandar Turkmen (the capital city of Turkmen district) in east, 12 km away from AghGhala city in west. the Beautiful Gorgan river streams just in the middle of this village, in fact Gharanjik village established in the river shore. Its population is about 3000.

        "Gharanjik" means; some people have horses with black legs. The race of that people is "Turkmen" so their mother tongue is "Turkmenish" (a kind of Turkish accent).

        The job of most of the people is agriculture, Their important products are cotton, rape seed, barley and wheat. Also raising cattle, sheep and camel is common in the village. The popular sports of people are horse riding, volleyball and and "Turkmen wrestling" (Alish).

        Gharanjik village has beautiful lands and attractive souvenirs such as Turkmen handicraft for example carpet, and camel products including: camel milk, camel meat and camel cream. Meantime some local Turkmen foods are cooked there for example Ghatlama, Borog, Chafati, Bishma, Bulamagh, petir (all of them made from wheat flour), Chekdirmah (a kind of rice food) and … . At the same time Gharanjik has attractive Turkmen culture and special Turkmen dressing that can attract every tourist.
